While reading this article, I find almost everything true about this. I believe that the five milestones, which includes completing school, leaving home, becoming independent, marrying, and having a child are important and that everyone of us should be able to achieve it. During the 60s, 70s, and 80s, many people that were in their 20s were able to reach those five milestones and it seemed like it was just a piece of cake to them. However, our generation has extremely changed since the 60s, 70s, and 80s, which made it even more challenging for people to transition into adulthood and many of them end up going back home to their parents.
There are many reasons why this is affecting us and I personally think one of them is not setting our priorities straight. There are so many people in my age who went straight to work and not even thought about going to college, which results to them not achieving any of the milestones or reaching them out of order. After reading this article, it motivated me to strive harder so I can easily achieve the five milestones.
