Honestly, I was a little bit shocked after I read the article "What is it about twenty-somethings?", but I 'm quite agreed with the author because he points out the exact problems that today young people have, and he's right, people in their 20s is taking so long to grow up now. Many people have been trying so hard to complete their five milestones : graduate from college, leave home, get a job, get married and have a child, but only few people can make it, most of the 20s stuck at the second one and the third one. For example, many young people can't find a job after graduated or some people who have a job but the economy is not good, so they're force to move back with parents and ask for help. Some elders from previous generations blame these to the 20s, they think the 20s are just too lazy to grow up and the young people just take things for granted from their parents generation. On the other hand, the 20s also blame the world; they blame the college is to hard, tuition is too high, economy is too bad and the job is too hard to get, etc.
However, as part of the 20s, I can understand that because that's what I have been going through, but I think the biggest problem is not us, it's just the world change too fast, and the world become more complicated and wonderful. The 20s have so many options and opportunities, so it's not that they don't want to grow up, it's just that they need more time to figure what they're going to do and who they want to be.
