After reading this article "What Is It About 20-Somethings?", I start recognize that all this changes between our lives and our parents' live in 20s are greatly different. My parents grew up as the classic direction "completing school, leaving home, becoming financially independent, marrying and having a chil" before reach the age 30. However, me and most of my friends are around 25 now, and mostly don't finish even half of those milestones. It looks like that we didn't grow up as fast as the older generations. But, is that really just cause by the over protection from family?
Today, humans material life has been greatly improved, so our new 20s have much more "dreams" to reach. At our parents' 20s, high school diploma could be enough for them to find to stable job. Nowadays, higher education are required by almost every job, our generation need to spend more time on school. Besides, greater work pressure make marriage and childbearing become harder. Things keep changing, our definition of "what 20s should do" also need to change.
