Nowadays, people in their 20s seem to
reach the stage of adulthood later than the previous generation. We
all know that the crisis stage of the economy has changed the
government, the society, families, and lives of adolescents. Based on
the survey, people go through at least seven jobs which is a
surprisingly big number considering they're just in their 20s. I
think that the cause of economic change affects a big part in young
people's lives. Those who come from wealthy family with great
financial support from their parents can pursue their dream careers
confidently. And there are lucky ones who are married, own houses,
have good jobs and kids. However, to others, choosing a path they're
going to walk in for half of their lives are difficult and confusing.
They may endure financial and family problems or the careers they
wish for don't provide them enough finance and the jobs' stability is
weak.
As much as we see,
everyone seems to walk in an individual pace. Some need more
protection than others but there is a limit to it so that they are not overly dependent. These young people have to go through a
developmental stage to explore themselves and things around them, to
find out how they can adapt to it. Gradually, they will envision the
future, how they can build a good lives and attain happiness in what
they do. Thus, emerging adulthood, maybe not for everyone, is an
important stage because it encourages adolescents to explore things
that they haven't encountered, to explore who they are as a human being.
